As a Wellbeing Advocate, you will work closely with the military community, ensuring they receive essential wellbeing services and support. This role is crucial in delivering veteran-centred programs such as the Veteran Homelessness Program and Financial Hardship assistance. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement client support plans tailored to individual veteran needs.
- Provide case management for veterans facing homelessness, financial difficulties, and other challenges.
- Conduct home and hospital visits to assess and deliver required wellbeing services.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including The Salvation Army and the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA).
- Monitor client progress and escalate complex issues when needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in Social Welfare, Health Sciences, Social Science, or related fields, or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Strength-Based Case Management.
- Empathy and ability to work in sensitive environments.
- Familiarity with the ADF and veteran community needs (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent communication and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
