Key Responsibilities
- Catering Management – Oversee meal planning, preparation, and presentation, ensuring that all meals are nutritious and meet residents’ dietary needs.
- Compliance & Safety – Ensure that all kitchen operations adhere to food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Stock & Budget Management – Monitor stock levels, manage budgets, and ensure cost-effective purchasing for catering and hospitality services.
- Team Leadership – Supervise and mentor hospitality staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring quality service delivery.
- Facility Maintenance – Oversee the cleanliness of the kitchen, laundry, and dining areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Qualifications – Chef trade qualification or equivalent hospitality experience in aged care.
- Experience – Previous experience in catering, food service, and hospitality leadership.
- Food Safety Knowledge – Strong understanding of food safety standards, including knowledge of texture-modified meals and thickened fluids.
- Leadership Skills – Ability to supervise and motivate a team, ensuring efficient service delivery.
- Compliance Understanding – Familiarity with accreditation standards and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Communication Skills – Strong ability to interact with residents, staff, and external stakeholders professionally.
- Mandatory Checks – Must have a valid National Police Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening Check or the ability to obtain them.
